DAY ELEVEN:

Welp!.. today's pursuit was about seeking information. I had time to search different fashion sites that could be beneficial to me and my aspirations! With in the search I stumbled over two that I found interesting. One being thesartorialist.blogspot.com which is right here on Blogger & two style.com. The Sartorialist displays street fashion all around the world but mainly in New York, Paris, & Tokyo. Style.com gives you the option to search a number of fashion designers and their shows up to 2008. The first designer I decided to take a look @ was Alexander McQueen and the show I focused on was about a Victorian princess that lived in a tree but escapes into the world we live into today! I Loved the story!!

DAY TEN:

Day ten consisted of Consistency..as I continued to work on the head band accessories. Today was an experimental and self educational day! It took a lot of time trying to figure out how to make head gear that was fashionable and fun at the same time. The first design I started out with was the fashion turbans that are being put back out this yr. Next I began to just get inspiration from ideas in my head and went off of that. It was fun and Britt came back over to help me out a bit! you can find some flicks below!!

DAY NINE:

Today was a good good day! Me & Britt took a trip to the fabric store for a new venture that will be going in the direction of an accessory line! We bought some pretty cool fabrics with colors, glitz, and even personality. As we began in the Fashion Dungeon I created a head warmer for my niece and she loved it! It was black based with gold glitter design. Afterwards we sat down and tried to think of ways to differentiate our head warmers from the ones thats already on the market and came up with some potentially great ideas!! Stay tuned you'll catch me displaying the great work!!!!

DAY EIGHT:

I like to think of Alexis Hunter as a big sis to me! She's eager and determined, and knows what she wants! On day 8 I took the time out to interview Lex in a "Feature You" segment that can be found on F.G.T. She's a Queen of all trades from party promoting, fleet service agent @ the PHL International Airport, to fashion coordinating. We covered this interview on the way to promoting for an upcoming project she's working on called the 7th Hour of Fashion! This is a children's fashion show in which Alexis is partnered on with Dahmod Collins, the fashion designer of the show! You can find more info @ fashiongoesthere.blogspot.com.

DAY SEVEN:

Hey Hey Hey yall lol, today was another brainstorm day! That's always good, definitely when you actually go through with your ideas. I always say "You can't build a reputation on what your going to do", : )  got that one from Henry Ford. Anyways, my main goal was convincing Lex to joining in on the networking event since I'm in my scouting mode on building a team. My main concern was actually answering any questions she may have about coming aboard. Besides the fact that she is great @ promoting and gives me a lot of motivation, she has her hands on a venue that would be great for the event! We talked these things over @ Wet Willies and discovered that they focus one of their flat screens on a channel called Fashion T.V. I began following them instantly on Facebook @ facebook.com/ftv. The main topic on the show was about 2010's best models which included Karlie Kloss(one of my FAVFAVFAVorites), Asia Struss, Jacquelyn Jablonski, & Lisanne De Jong just to name a few. We captured a small clip of what they were showing before the camera died :(...view below!{{{*SORRY VIDEO NO LONGER AVAILABLE DUE TO COPYRIGHT*}}
Heres a pic of me & Lex glued to the t.v. lol

DAY SIX:

Today was good the weather was a little draining but fashion can always uplift! My good friend Matt flew out to meet to talk more about his proposal for the Northeast High fashion show. He is the actual face and brains behind organizing for the show. We gave him ideas on specific scenes he could do for the students. For example maybe a uniform scene, history scene, and a history time line scene. He was for all the ideas and had great ones of his own. After that we all went out to grab a bite to eat and check out the American Apparel Here. I wore my I Love Philly tank and got many compliments and of course felt  really good about that!!

DAY FIVE:

Hello, first off my posts will be running a little late due to my recent trip to Miami. However, the weather is beautiful here especially compared to the weather in Philly.
On day five before my trip I had the chance to reconstruct a T shirt that has a print that I love soo much! I took the time and sewn the sleeves together creating pockets. Next I folded the shirt up some to give it a shorter hem line and to "sexy it up" a notch! Lucky for me I'm a skinny minny lol and can fit right into the neck line to make this work in addition to the stretch material. I will definitely have pics up for you to view maybe by the beginning of next wk!
Also while I was here in Miami I took some time to go to Mac to find out what's the fashionable and "In" lip sticks of the season, for I love me some fire red lipstick but I'm ready to explore different colors these days. A lovely young lady named Hanel shared that every Friday Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday sells are crazy and Lady Gaga's line is doing numbers...but for some of the warmer colors that are in are Diva, Chilli, Love forever, Modesty & Digna. There were two that were my personal favorite which were the Chilli (a beautifully burnt orange with a hint of red) & Digna (a sexy eye stopper plum).
And O...we seen Trina!! I held my composer tho, she was getting her make up done. It was a cool experience!

DAY FOUR:

Sorry today's post is so late, however today started out late but ended great! I attended Northeast High along with my good friend Lex, to help put together a proposal for the students to organize a school fashion show. The principal there isn't really a fan of fashion nor the shows, she feels that fashion has no education behind it. Which is not true at all!! We covered alot of things such as the benefits for the students and the school. Especially how to deliver education through fashion and where a fashion education/career can take you! Aside from that, we sort of recruited a young lady named Destiny thats trying to find her direction in life & is interested in Graphic Design but more so Photography. She expressed how much she loves taking photos and had many questions for us. It was really cool to see her so excited when Lex shared she would give her a shot @ an upcoming fashion show she's coordinating to take pics. I as well told her if the shots exceed our expectations then I could use her for one of my styled shoots! We all exchanged numbers and business cards and called it a Productive Day!!

{In other news} The idea of my 30 day pursuit has many people intrigued and today I got my first request to style a shoot for FOUR SCENCES!! Now thats major!!

DAY TWO:

Okay, so today I dedicated my time to introduce *M.E.Cycling, on my site Fashion Goes There. This is what I call recycling my clothes after im done wearing a particular piece, wore the right side too many times, or just a piece i want to transform into another look. I like to think "Hey there your clothes, u paid for them so do what you want to them".
When people see me they compliment on something they probably already complimented me on and don't even know it! And I love that!! Its great when I can wear a shirt to the front because it was made great but I love the fact that I can think out side the box and make a huge change by just wearing the shirt backwards or even when i can turn a simple tank top into a dress! I just think of it as I'm fashionably blessed!!

DAY ONE:

Helllooooo!!! Today was my first day of the 30 day pursuit and I lOVED it.
I designed and created a grey tank top that reads "I <heart> Philly". I had decided to cut out the letters from extra fabrics I have and sew them on to give the shirt a  patch effect.
I can tell I'm a beginner and with that being said practice makes perfect lol!!..no but really i think it came out really cute, despite the minor finishing touches i have to make. The final pic will be up some time by the end of the wk, cant showcase the greatness just yet!    Catch ya tomorrow~
