DAY FOURTEEN:

The Children's Show was Great!! A number of people came out to support the kids and Scream and shout for there own. It felt good to watch people get together for kids, because it seems as if there aren't a lot of recreational activities children get into these days. However, regarding my PrettyKnurd head accessory line the head gear was the hottest thing since sliced bread! lol, I sold a number of head bands/ turbans as well as helped out vend jewelry for my good friend Lex. We both did good by the end of the show and as my first time vending my own created and designed products I actually liked it and is planning to continue on with the experience!

So today was about setting up, decorating, and practicing for the children's fashion show called The 7th hour of Fashion; the designer behind the show is Dah'mod Collins. I had the pleasure of meeting Dame when I introduced my catwalk @ one of his casting calls for his show named Darkness falls! Anyway, the children here are Marvelous and Fierce! I never knew kids could walk so good! There better than some of the models I've worked with before.
I will be vending and debuting my PrettyKnurd Head accessory Line tommorow 1/8/11! Check out some of the behind the scenes flicks @ todays Rehearsal...

DAY TWELVE

OMG I'mmm Baacck!! Due to the weather last week as well as internet difficulties I've been unable to make daily posts. However, I still have been keeping busy with research, trying to set up some photo shoots, as well as staying consistent with making head bands!
So, on day twelve I decided to take some time to update Fashion Goes There. There was a post about Vintage clothing that I shared and to see a few pics of the clothes that I would wear my self go to F.G.T. Here is a few additional pieces I love!! DAY ELEVEN:

Welp!.. today's pursuit was about seeking information. I had time to search different fashion sites that could be beneficial to me and my aspirations! With in the search I stumbled over two that I found interesting. One being thesartorialist.blogspot.com which is right here on Blogger & two style.com. The Sartorialist displays street fashion all around the world but mainly in New York, Paris, & Tokyo. Style.com gives you the option to search a number of fashion designers and their shows up to 2008. The first designer I decided to take a look @ was Alexander McQueen and the show I focused on was about a Victorian princess that lived in a tree but escapes into the world we live into today! I Loved the story!!

DAY TEN:

Day ten consisted of Consistency..as I continued to work on the head band accessories. Today was an experimental and self educational day! It took a lot of time trying to figure out how to make head gear that was fashionable and fun at the same time. The first design I started out with was the fashion turbans that are being put back out this yr. Next I began to just get inspiration from ideas in my head and went off of that. It was fun and Britt came back over to help me out a bit! you can find some flicks below!!

DAY NINE:

Today was a good good day! Me & Britt took a trip to the fabric store for a new venture that will be going in the direction of an accessory line! We bought some pretty cool fabrics with colors, glitz, and even personality. As we began in the Fashion Dungeon I created a head warmer for my niece and she loved it! It was black based with gold glitter design. Afterwards we sat down and tried to think of ways to differentiate our head warmers from the ones thats already on the market and came up with some potentially great ideas!! Stay tuned you'll catch me displaying the great work!!!!

DAY EIGHT:

I like to think of Alexis Hunter as a big sis to me! She's eager and determined, and knows what she wants! On day 8 I took the time out to interview Lex in a "Feature You" segment that can be found on F.G.T. She's a Queen of all trades from party promoting, fleet service agent @ the PHL International Airport, to fashion coordinating. We covered this interview on the way to promoting for an upcoming project she's working on called the 7th Hour of Fashion! This is a children's fashion show in which Alexis is partnered on with Dahmod Collins, the fashion designer of the show! You can find more info @ fashiongoesthere.blogspot.com.
